U.S General Consul Visits HOSE
U.S general consul, Mr Ken Fairfax paid a visit to the Ho Chi Minh Securities Exchange (HOSE) on July 31st, with a view to strengthening and developing ties between U.S Consulate and HOSE, reported mass media.
During the talks with HOSE authorities, Ken Fairfax said U.S consulate is willing to play a bridging role in boosting cooperation between HOSE and NYSE as well as helping local companies to list their shares on the foreign country’s stock market..
For his part, Mr Tran Dac Sinh, Director of HOSE introduced development history of Vietnam’s stock market for the US diplomat.
Established in the year 2000, Vietnam’s stock market has grown rapidly since the country joined the WTO body.
Vietnam is known as an emerging market in the Asia with highest GDP growth rate behind powerhouse China. (Vietnam Economic Times)
