Luxurious Tourist Train to Start Operation in September

A luxurious train named Livitrans Express for the Hanoi-Lao Cai route will be put into operation in September 2007, which is hoped to help boost the local hospitality and reduce overload of the trains in the coming time.
 
The train, with equipment equivalent to a high-class hotel, will have tickets priced at VND200,000 to VND340,000 (US$12 - $21). It also has a VIP carriage with only two beds with the ticket price of VND990,000 (US$61).
 
The train also has a bar, LCD television sets, toilets, etc. Passengers will be served with drinks, confections, newspapers free of charge.
 
The opening will help ease the overload of the Hanoi-Lao Cai trains, especially during weekends and holidays.
 
According to the representative of the Lien Viet Transport and Trade Joint Stock Company, the investor of the luxurious train, the new train will meet the needs of local and foreign tourists who want to go to Sapa with better service quality.
 
Livitrans Express will depart from the Hanoi Railway Station at 11.05pm everyday from September 2007. Passengers can book tickets through 04.9429919 or www.livitrans.com.
