Indochinese Nations Jointly Launch Trans-national Tours
Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia are joining forces to develop trans-national tours under the theme “Three Countries - One Destination” with hope to further speed up tourism cooperation among the countries.
Tourism officials from the three countries reached an agreement on the joint tour after a working visit to Laos and Cambodia.
HCM City tourism officials said further details of the cooperation will be discussed during the International Travel Expo to be held in the city from October 5-7.
In recent years, the tourism cooperation among Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia has been closer, the officials said, revealing that the nations are planning to publish a 140-page guide book about responsible tourism attractions and activities in their countries soon.
Statistics from the Pacific Asia Travel Association issued this month show that international tourism arrivals year to date are growing at a rate of over 22 per cent into Cambodia, 14 per cent into Vietnam and 20 per cent into Laos.
Vietnam welcomed more than 116,000 arrivals from Laos and Cambodia in the first seven months of this year.
