First Hotel Management Company Debuts in Vietnam
Vinpearl Trade and Tourism Co has established the first hotel management company in Vietnam, the Vinpearl Hotel Management Company (VHMC), with the aim to boost its business operations, state media said recently.
Its chartered capital and operation structure have not made available at the moment.
VHMC will manage the hotel chain set up by Vinpearl Corporation in the first year of operation.
The company will cooperate with overseas partners in creating training courses and developing quality staff.
Vietnam has had over 400 international and 10,000 domestic travel firms. The country also reported around 234,000 laborers directly working in the tourism sector in 2006. The number is forecast to reach 350,000 by 2010 and more than 500,000 by 2015.
The tourism sector now contributes 8 per cent to Vietnam’s national GDP. (VNA)
