ASEAN Finance Ministers to Meet in Vietnam
Vietnam will host the upcoming Association of Southeast Asian Nations Finance Ministers’ Meeting (AFMM) from March 31 to April 4 to discuss financial issues in the region.
The AFMM ministers will discuss measures, including reinforcement of capital market and financial service liberalization and cooperation in taxation, the sources said.
February 18, the State Securities Commission held a forum on ASEAN capital markets in Hanoi as preparation for the AFMM.
During the two-day forum, delegates will discus facilitating transnational stock offers, and building up harmonized standards on information announcement, financial report and stock distribution regulations.
The 11th AFMM took place in April 2007 in Thailand.
The 10 ASEAN members include Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. (Youth)
