Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has turned the green light to adjusting prices of some construction materials and contracts in a bid to ensure construction pace of state budget-using projects, the Kinh Te Viet Nam & The Gioi newspaper reported.

The newspaper said the price adjustment is permitted for petrol, oil, steel and iron, bitumen, cement, sand, stone, brick, electric wire and cable, woodwork and glass.

Earlier, the Ministry of Construction had asked for government permission to raise the prices of the construction materials to help contractors avoid losses. (Vietnam & World Economy)
