Vietnam Ships US$288.55Mln Goods to Italy in Jan-April

Vietnam reportedly fetched US$288.55 million from goods shipments to Italy in the first four months of this year, said the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s website.
 
In April, the country’s exports to the European country reached US$65.29 million, said the website without figuring on-year comparison.
 
During the four-month span, coffee became the country’s biggest cash earner with US$68.45 million, followed by footwear with US$66.23 million, seafood with US$48.76 million, garments and textiles with US$25.01 million, woodwork products with US$20.26 million and bags and suitcases with US$5.5 million.
 
Two-way trade between Vietnam and Italy is expected at least US$1.5 billion in this year.
 
As of late October 2007, Italian investors poured US$93.27 million into 23 projects in Vietnam. (Vinanet)
