"Star exporters in GMS - empowered by CESMED" Seminars Open

Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) cooperated with the Centre for SME Growth and Development Finance (CESMED) organized two seminars entitled "Star exporters in GMS - empowered by CESMED" on February 24 in Hanoi and on February 26 in Ho Chi Minh City with the participation of 35 Vietnamese enterprises and 40, respectively.

This is the first event among a series of CESMED supporting programs and it is proposed to build a group of Star 100 exporting companies, especially SMEs, from the GMS by imparting a crash capacity-building program conducted by CESMED, so that at the end they also successfully obtain the D&B Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) from Dun & Bradstreet (D&B).

 

Participants of the program will understand their competitiveness in the global market, acquire skill to become ready for action in changing circumstance, have market intelligence, become part of global network through DUNS registration, get assess to GMS regional network with CESMED initiative, and get into the knowledge and information platform.

 

DUNS was set up 40 years ago and has been used by enterprises and State agencies in over 190 countries. Successful exporters provided with DUNS Numbers can enter the club of international exporters through Dun & Bradstreet (D&B)’s world’s most valuable commercial database fed with information from over 200 countries.

 

These programs have been successfully launched by CESMED in GMS, including Cambodia, Lao-PDR, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, and Yunnan province of China, as member countries.
