Vietnam Southern Province to Set up 11 New Industrial Parks

Vietnam’s southern Binh Duong province will build additional 11 industrial Parks (IP) from now to 2020, raising its total number of IP to 39 covering 19,834 hectares by the year.
 
Under the province’s IP development plan, Binh Duong will expand three parks namely Dat Quoc (500 hectares), Nam Tan Uyen (631 hectares) and Bau Bang (2,500 hectares) by 2015.
 
It will build eight new IPs including Lai Hung (1,000 hectares), Cay Truong-Tru Van Tho (500 hectares), Tan Binh (600 hectares), Tan Lap (800 hectares), Binh My-Tan Lap (500 hectares), Tan My-Dat Cuoc-Thuong Tan (1,300 hectares), Vinh Hoa-Tan Hiep (913 hectares) and An Lap 500 hectares between now and 2015.
 
In the 2015-2020 period, the locality will construct three new ones of Vinh Hoa-Tam Lap (1,000 hectares), Long Hoa (1,380 hectares) and Minh Thanh (300 hectares).
 
Binh Duong attracted US$314.7 million in foreign direct investment (FDI) in the first quarter of the year despite the ongoing global economic recession. Of the total amount, US$206.4 million came from 21 new projects.
 
To date, the province is home to 1,842 FDI projects capitalized at US$11.413 billion. (Youth)
