Hanoi Attracts $400M FDI in Jan-Sept, Down 91% On-Year

Vietnam’s capital city of Hanoi attracted $400 million of foreign direct investment (FDI) in the first nine months, down 91% from a year earlier.
 
Between Jan and Sept, the city authorities licensed 189 new FDI projects valued at $152 million and allowed 36 existing FDI projects to raise their capital by $248 million.
 
Among the newly-licensed projects, Vietnam-France satellite digital television project valued at $54 million is the biggest. (Vietnam Economic Times)
