Vietnam Province Calling for VND11.2T for 53 Projects

Authorities of the Central Highland province of Gia Lai have approved a list of 53 projects to call for foreign and domestic investments valued at VND11.2 trillion (US$626.78 million).
 
The list will be introduced at an international gong festival 2009 which will be held in the locality on Nov. 12-15.
 
The projects focus on tourism, industry, construction, energy, agriculture and forestry.
 
Of the list, the biggest project is a VND2.6 trillion factory that produces car tyres and rubber products.
 
Other projects include Hoi Phu spring urban area capitalized at VND915 billion and a 5-star hotel worth US$VND150 billion in Pleiku city.
 
Gia Lai has 2,950 businesses with a total registered capital of VND12 trillion. (Vietnam Economic Times)
