Vietnam Jan-Oct Imports from U.S. Up 4.23% to US$2.33B
Vietnam imported US$2.33 billion worth of goods from the U.S. in the first ten months of this year, rising 4.23% from a year earlier.
In October, the country’s imports from the U.S. were US$264.89 million, the Ministry of Industry and Trade said on December 8.
Imports of fertilizers, animal fat, machines and equipment jumped 29.6 times, 15.01 times and 63.24% on-year to US$61.433 million, US$18.29 million and US$554.8 million, respectively, in Jan-Sept.
Meanwhile, Vietnam’s apparel and footwear accessories, wheat and rubber imports tumbled on-year 54.92%, 54.11% and 51.54% to US$54.45 million, to US$12.6 million and US$7 million, respectively, during the period. (vinanet)
