Russian Firms Invest Over $300M in Vietnam So Far
Russian companies have to date poured $302.9 million into 55 projects in Vietnam, ranking the 23rd among 81 countries and territories making direct investment in the country, the government said.
Most of the Russian projects in Vietnam focus on the areas of food processing, garment and textile, footwear and wooden products.
At a meeting with representatives from Russian leading groups in Moscow on December 14, Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung said Vietnam will continue to offer incentives for Russian investors.
Russian businesses said they are keen on expanding their operations in banking, oil and gas, mining, energy, construction and automobile manufacturing the Southeast Asian nation. (chinhphu.vn)
