Vietnam Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park Licenses 37 Projs Totaling US$1B So Far
Hanoi-based Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park has to date licensed 37 projects totaling US$1 billion, the Dat Viet newspaper reported Thursday, citing a park official.
As of end-December, Vietnam disbursed VND180 billion into infrastructure projects in the park, Nguyen Van Lang head of the park’s management board said.
The Japanese government has to date provided JPY1 billion in official development assistance (ODA) to upgrade infrastructures of the park to call more foreign investors.
The government of Vietnam has recently approved to merge Bac Phu Cat Industrial Park into Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park in the west of Hanoi.
Under the approved plan, Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park will cover 1,586 hectares and create 143,500 jobs in 2015. (Dat Viet,
