Southern Province Licenses 15 Projects Totaling $125.03M So Far This Year
Vietnam’s southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau has licensed 15 projects totaling $125.03 million since early this year, including five foreign direct investment (FDI) projects valued at $924.9 million.
The projects include Dragon Sea-Vung Tau international tourism exhibition center with a total investment of $902.5 million and Sao Bien international port valued at VND4.55 trillion.
The figures meet nearly 50% of the provincial 2010 investment targets, the government said on its website.
This year, the province targets to attract 39 projects including 20 FDI projects capitalized at $2 billion.
As of end-2009, Ba Ria-Vung Tau had 260 FDI valid projects valued at $25.2 billion and 322 domestic projects capitalized at VND123 trillion. (
