Vietnam, Thailand Boosting Cooperation in Exhibition Industry
The Vietnam Trade Promotion Department (VietTrade) and the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on boosting bilateral cooperation in the exhibition industry.
The MoU is aimed to further enhance the bilateral trade ties via closer cooperation in the exhibition industry.
VietTrade Vice Head Ta Hoang Linh expected the signing of the two ASEAN active members would facilitate the economic growth of the Southeast Asian region.
Vietnam and Thailand target to raise the bilateral trade to US$10 billion in 2010, up from US$6.14 billion in 2009, including Vietnam’s trade deficit of US$3.54 billion.
Thai firms invested in 228 projects in Vietnam with a combined registered capital of over US$5.68 billion as of April 20. (VNA, VIR)
