Vietnam Construction Sector Posts H1 Production Value at VND68.824T
Total production value of Vietnam’s construction sector soared 25.4% from a year earlier to VND68.824 trillion (US$3.6 billion) in the first half of this year, the Ministry of Construction said.
The figure stood at VND12.737 trillion in June. Of the sum, the assembling sector reported production value at VND29.851 trillion in H1, up 26% on-year, including VND5.723 trillion in June.
The sector’s building materials and industrial production values soared 28.9% on-year to VND25.145 trillion in the first half.
The sector reaped US$76.7 million from exports and spent US$158.9 million on imports in H1, the ministry added.
In 2010, the MoC targets to raise the sector’s production value and investments to VND142 trillion and VND44.18 trillion, up 15% and 34% on-year, respectively. (Vietnam Economic Times)
