Vinh Hoan Corp Receives GlobalGAP Certifications
The Bureau Veritas Certification (BVC) has recently granted GlobalGAP certifications to Vinh Hoan Joint Stock Company (VHC) for their tra fish breeding model in two aquatic breeding areas in the Mekong Delta province of Dong Thap.
Covering 40 hectares totally in Tan Thuan Tay and Tan Hoa districts, the areas are the largest of its kind in Vietnam to receive the certifications, the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP) said on its website.
The certifications, which raise VHC’s tra fish prices by between 10% and 20%, will also facilitate the company’s exports to such demanding market as EU, a company representative was cited as saying.
After receiving the certifications, VHC signed its first contract to provide 120 tons of tra fillets to a big partner in EU. (VOV)
