Metalex Vietnam 2010 to Bring Comprehensive Technology Solutions to Vietnam’s Manufacturing Industry

METALEX Vietnam 2010 will combined with the "Exhibition on Supporting Industries in Ho Chi Minh City" co-organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Investment and Trade Promotion Centre (ITPC) and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), expecting to offer total solutions of new technologies to Vietnam’s manufacturing industry.

At the signing ceremony of the contract on organising Metalex Vietnam 2010 between JETRO, ITPC and Reed Tradex, Vietnam Business Forum had an interview with Ms Nichapa Yoswee, Managing Director of Reed Tradex.

Metalex Vietnam 2009 brought in striking success. Exhibitors expressed their satisfaction in the quality of business opportunities as well as the way exhibition organizers did. Visitors were also very interested in new machine tools and metalworking technologies available. Metalex Vietnam 2009 attracted 6,659 industrialists from many provinces in Vietnam and foreign trade missions to attend and purchase new technologies to expand production, improve efficiency, and reduce costs of their business. Metalex Vietnam 2010 will draw the participation of 300 exhibitors with 500 brands from 25 countries and territories in the world.

 

We expect that the Metalex Vietnam 2010 will allure some 8,000 industrialists from Vietnam and other nations.

This is the fourth time Metalex Vietnam to be held while Metalex Bangkok has been held for 24 straight years. Metalex Bangkok also had initial days like Metalex Vietnam - opening to serve the domestic market. So far, Metalex Bangkok not only serves the Thai market but the Southeast Asian region as a whole. This is the difference.

 

But, with the steady development of Metalex Vietnam, I believe that Metalex Vietnam will quickly become an important event for the manufacturing industry of the whole region like Metalex Bangkok at present.

 

This combination will optimize the value of time industrialists will spend on the event which not only has positive impacts on the technological development of the manufacturing industry but also increase opportunities of business cooperation and open many doors for Vietnamese suppliers. At the same time, it helps match domestic and foreign manufacturers.

 

This combination brings in benefits for not only manufacturers but also for the industry and the national economy. In my opinion, I hope this combination will continue in next Metalex Vietnam but that depends on policies of JETRO and orientations of ITPC. However, biggest beneficiaries of the combination are mainly Vietnamese industrialists as they attain many targets at the same time: They access Japanese customers as well as machine suppliers to manufacture products for Japanese customers. I believe that JETRO and ITPC have also realized this benefit and will continue with combination in the following events.
