31 Realty Projects to Put in Use in Vietnam by end-2010
As many as 31 real estate projects will be put in use in Vietnam to supply 10,000 apartments to the market from June through end-2010.
The figure will help raise the total number of available apartments in the Southeast Asian country to over 20,000 this year.
A large number of apartment projects will be carried out and operational in the nation in the next two or three years, a market watchdog said.
The country is forecast to build 148,000 apartments occupying a combined 9.58 million sq.m through 2015.
It currently has a total of 632 new urban area projects with a combined area of 101,886 hectares
A research by the U.S.-based RNCOS firm showed that the country currently lacks 20 million apartments each year and 70% of Vietnamese households are living in unqualified housing conditions and a large number of people own no private house. (Great Unity)
