Malaysian Food and Cultural Promotion Week

The Malaysian Food and Cultural Promotion was organised by Tourism Malaysia, Malaysia Airlines and Melia Hanoi Hotel from August 28 to September 1 at Melia Hanoi Hotel.

During the five day promotion, authentic Malaysian dishes, such as the mouth-watering Malay satay, were prepared by three famous chefs from Kuala Lumpur, the most popular destination in Southeast Asia for gastronomy lovers, and served at El Patio Restaurant from 6p.m-10p.m.

Visitors also had the chance to discover and enjoy the three biggest civilisations of Asia reflected in each precise movement of the Malaysian, Indian, and Chinese dances.

In addition, the promotion introduced Malaysian unique batik through designs that blend nature's spectrum with artistic patterns in a near perfect harmonious balance.

Mr Dato' A.H. Anuar, ambassador of Malaysia to Vietnam, said the event not only aimed at introducing the culture and food of Malaysia, but also to enhance the understanding between the two countries.
