Tung Linh Drivers Training and Testing Centre: Effort to Improve Quality of Training and Testing
Whenever local people in Lang Son province, in the past, needed to get car driving licenses, they had to study and take a test in other provinces. Now the situation has changed as they can get it right in Lang Son with the establishment of Tung Linh Drivers Training and Testing Centre affiliated to Thanh An Joint Stock Company.
Tung Linh Centre is assigned to license the driving certificate Class B1, B2 and C to 330 students, and Class A1 to 100 students each course with the first course beginning in February, 2013. Since then, it has facilitated local people to get driving certificates. Mr Mai Van An, Director of the company said: So far we have trained over 1,000 and so far granted 1,000 licenses. When trainees come to the Centre, they can enrol in training courses appropriate to their time schedules.
Currently, the Centre has over 80 officials and employees, including more than 60 trainers. Facilities of the Centre are increasingly upgraded. It has 60 training vehicles and a training yard and a testing field. To improve the quality of training and testing, the Centre has invited many qualified and experienced professionals to transfer technology and expertise to the trainers.
The training process consists of theory, practice and review, and then the Centre organises a graduation exam to grant driving certificates. The time from training courses to the final test lasts 3 months. Tung Linh Centre has initially met Lang Son people's need of learning and getting car driving licenses.
