Vietnam Businessman Golf Tournament 2005 - VCCI Cup: Swing for Great Successes

On October 8, 2005, VCCI in conjunction with the Vietnam National Committee for Sport and Physical Culture and the Hai Duong Provincial People’s Committee organised "Vietnam Businessman Golf Tournament 2005 - VCCI Cup" for the first time in Chi Linh Star Golf Course & Country Club, Hai Duong province.
 
VCCI President Vu Tien Loc pointed out that the tournament will be organised annually to promote Vietnamese entrepreneurs and sport movement of the business community. It is for both physical training and exchange of business experiences in the process of international economic integration.
 
"Vietnam Businessman Golf Tournament 2005 - VCCI Cup" attracted over 200 business golfers from all parts of Vietnam. After a day of competition, the tournament concluded with 16 prizes awarded. At the awarding ceremony, VCCI Vice President Doan Duy Khuong said that, the tournament this time is to celebrate Vietnam Entrepreneur Day - October 13 and welcome the meeting between the Prime Minister and businesspersons in December.
 
The Organising Committee also organised an auction in Sofitel Plaza Hanoi Hotel to support handicapped and Agent Orange victim children.
 
Auction for charity donation:
-Mr Nguyen Dinh Hoan, President of Hanoi International School, bought the embroidered painting by children of Hoa Binh-Thanh Xuan Peace Village: US$1,000
-Mr Yukaki Morimoto won the book of pictures on Vietnam after the war: US$400
-Nguyen Viet Loan, Director of Cay Bo De (Snowbell) Spa & Resort won the golf club with signature of Former Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Manh Cam: US$800.
-Two tickets for Semi-final of Football World Cup 2006 in Germany: US$3,000 belongs to Mr Doan Van An, President of Chi Linh Star Golf & Country Club.
 
Also on the same occasion, VIB Forum magazine, one of the tournament’s organisers, donated VND10 million (US$600) to Hoa Binh-Thanh Xuan Peace Village.
 
Charity donation:
Hoa Binh-Thanh Xuan Peace Village: US$2,500
Handicapped children in Hai Duong province: US$3,300.
