On August 29, 2005 in Hanoi, President of Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) Vu Tien Loc had a talk with Mr Adi Simayof, President of Simayof Group in California, US, and a delegation of overseas Vietnamese businesspeople.
At the working day, Mr Simayof announced that his group is surveying the Vietnamese market and plans to invest in the entertainment and tourism sectors. In the short run, the group intends to inject more than US$1 billion in Danang City. Mr Simayof called for VCCI’s support to offer favourable conditions for his group to do business in Vietnam.
Dr. Vu Tien Loc appreciated the goodwill of Mr Simayof and said that Vietnam’s tourism sector is sharply developing and Simayof Group’s tourism project will partly create a new wave of US investment in Vietnam, especially giant groups of California. He also pledged to create the best conditions for Simayof Group in Vietnam.
On the same day, VCCI President received Mr Nabutak, Director of Shiomi Company in Japan, which specializes in designing construction software for large-scale construction works. Mr Nabutak said Japanese companies at the moment wish to invest more in Vietnam thanks to great successes of Japanese enterprises operating in the country. In the coming time, Shiomi will open a representative office in Vietnam and needs VCCI’s assistance during its operation in the country. VCCI President Vu Tien Loc highlighted Shiomi’s proposal and promised to give a helping hand during Shiomi’s investment process in the Vietnamese market.
