On July 26, 2005, VCCI admitted 40 new members, increasing the total to nearly 600 new members admitted since early 2005, including three associated members namely Hanoi Tokokosen Corporation, Danimex - Denmark Ltd and Zamil VN Co. Ltd. New Vietnamese members engage in IT, consulting, trade, construction, tourism, real estate. In particular, ’s Energy Development Association and Accounting and Taxation Consulting and Training Centre have also joined VCCI membership at this time.
So far, VCCI has nearly 6,500 members including over 200 associations. Almost all the members seek VCCI assistance in business experiences, trade and investment promotion inside and outside as well as recommendations on development of favourable legal framework for business activities.
