VCCI to Host First, Biggest Golf Tournament for Businessmen

Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) will organise Businessman Golf Tournament 2005 - VCCI Cup

 

, the first and biggest event for the Vietnamese enterprises so far, on Saturday, October 8, 2005 at Chi Linh Star Golf & Country Club in Hai Duong province, to celebrate the Vietnam Entrepreneur Day (October 13, 2005) and the Annual Meeting between the Prime Minister and enterprises.

 

The special event, supported and co-hosted by Vietnam National Committee for Sport and Physical Culture and Hai Duong Provincial People’s Committee, will gather 200 golfers, including successful businessmen of all economic sectors in Vietnam and 30 V.I.P guests who are Government officials, leaders of ministries, provinces and cities, and ambassadors to Vietnam.

 

The tournament is to offer a good chance for entrepreneurs to exchange views and business experience, affirm trademarks and images of enterprises in the international integration, and partly contribute to the development of golf, the emerging sport in Vietnam.

 

According to Dr. Doan Duy Khuong, VCCI Vice Executive President, goal has been considered the sport of international integration, therefore, more and more Vietnamese entrepreneurs have been interested in playing golf with the aim of strengthening relations with their partners and seek new business opportunities. He stresses that the event will include charity activities to partly ease pains and losses of dioxin victims using funds raised from entrance fee of the golfers and auctions of valuable gifts at the Prize Awarding Ceremony.
