The groundbreaking ceremony for the 18-hole the Sea Links Phan Thiet – Vietnam golf course will take place in the Phan Thiet city of central Binh Thuan province late this month (April 27) to meet the demand for luxurious entertainment of visitors.
According to Nguyen Van Dong, Director of project investors Rang Dong Construction and Installation Company, the golf course, covering an area of more than 131 hectares will be built along the Ham Tien – Mui Ne coast, 10km northeast of Phan Thiet City, Binh Thuan Province.
Surrounded by 200 villas, hotels, restaurants, swimming pools, and other facilities for entertainment, Sea Links will be part of a community of tourist draw cards, such as the Poshahinu tower, Hon Rom – Mui Ne and Lau Ong Hoang.
Together with Ocean Dunes Golf Resort, the project, which is scheduled to begin operation in 2007 promises to be an attractive and interesting place for any arrival, who is interested in luxurious entertainment such as golf.
Binh Thuan, home to beautiful beaches and several famous cultural and historical sites, including Co Thach pagoda in Tuy Phong, and Mui Ne in the metropolis town of Phan Thiet, has become one of the most favored destinations for both domestic and overseas holiday-makers. Notably, Mui Ne tourism site in Phan Thiet town is often called “The Land of Resorts” as up to 70 out of the country’s total of more than 100 resort are located there.
Presently, the province has more than 100 hotels and guest houses, with 255 four-star rooms. The number of visitors to Binh Thuan has increased by 30 percent annually, with foreign visitors increasing by 35 percent a year.
In 2005, Binh Thuan welcomed 1.7 million visitors, including 150,000 foreigners, grossing VND450 billion (US$28.5 million). It targets to welcome 2.1 million tourists, and fetch a revenue of VND630 billion (US$39.8 million) this year.
