Yamaha's Pan Yamaha ASEAN Touring to Cross 28 Vietnam's Provinces

Japan’s Yamaha Motor Vietnam and Yamaha Asia Centre have cooperated to kick off the PAN-ASEAN TOURING-VIETNAM tour in Hanoi on April 2.
 
The tour, comprising of motorists, Yamaha engineers, journalists and organisers from six Asian nations, will ride Exciter 135cc motorbikes on 2,612 km of roads through 28 provinces and cities in Vietnam in 16 days, or 200-300 km a day on average. The journey will stop at famous sites like Ha Long City, Haiphong, Hue, Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho. The motorcade will visit historical sites and beauty spots like Ha Long Bay, the late President Ho Chi Minh’s hometown, Truong Son War Cemetery, Hue Citadel and the Cu Chi Tunnels.
 
Mr. Takahiko Takeda, general director of Yamaha Motor Vietnam, said Pan ASEAN Touring- Vietnam is a part of Yamahas community development programme. In Vietnam, the company will carry out welfare activities like providing rubbish bins on beaches, presenting helmets, planting trees, giving gifts to orphans in Nha Trang SOS Village, and supporting agent orange/dioxin victims. According to Mr. Takahiko Takeda, the total donations are valued at VND100 million (US$6,300).
 
The Pan ASEAN Touring crosses six nations including Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam and the Philippines on a combined distance of over 15,000 km in six months.
