VCCI and Ministry of Science and Technology Sign Agreement on Helping Enterprises

Recently, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) signed a co-operation agreement with the Ministry of Science and Technology to provide support in scientific and technological application for enterprises to increase their economic effectiveness.

 

Under the agreement, the two sides will co-operate to promote scientific and technological application to accelerate the commercialisation and transfer of locally-developed technologies, as well as technological renewal to improve the quality of products, business effectiveness, and competitiveness of Vietnamese enterprises.

 

Addressing the signing ceremony, Vu Tien Loc, president of VCCI, said: “When Vietnam joins the World Trade Organisation (WTO), science and technology, and enterprises are two important factors, which should go closely together to boost the development.” Loc went on to say that trade promotion was always the top target of VCCI, but the in coming time, VCCI’s focus would be to provide support for enterprises in scientific and technological application.
