Saigon tourist Targets 3,800 Int'l Visitors This Month

Saigontourist, the leading tourism operator in Vietnam has set a goal to welcome 3,800 international travelers in September, an increase of 50 per cent over the same period last year, an official of the company announced.

 

“It is within our reach as our company is making careful plans for promoting its tourism image and improving the quality of its services,” the official revealed, adding that the company will also target 2,500 MICE guests coming to Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnam to participate in important events in September and October.

 

Saigontourist greeted more than 693,000 visitors, including over 350,000 foreigners and netted profits of VND669 billion ($41.9 million) in the first half of this year. It targets to receive 1.5 million tourists in 2006.

 

The company now has a wide network of more than 300 foreign partners in 36 countries around the world.
