Korean Firms to Tour Vietnam for Investment Opportunity

A South Korean business delegation of around 20 companies will visit Vietnam on December 8-12 to seek business opportunities and enhance cooperation with Vietnamese partners.
 
The mission, led by Choi Chui head of Eum Seong province’s Chamber of Commerce and Investment, includes businesses operating in the areas of construction materials and machines, auto paint production, synthetic plastics, audio equipment, medicines and cosmetics and others.
 
The meeting between the enterprises was arranged by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and is slated for December 8.
 
In related news, representatives from 50 S. Korean companies acting in cosmetics, home appliances, automobile accessories, medical equipment and printing materials, led by trade minister arrived in Vietnam on November 19-21 right after APEC summit ended, to look for cooperation prospects.
 
As of late November this year, S. Korea had 1,250 projects in Vietnam worth a total capital of around $7.3 billion, standing third among more than 70 countries and territories investing in the country, according to the Ministry of Planning and Investment.
