Increasing IT Applications in Garment, Textile Industry

The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and Intel, in cooperation with the Ministry of Trade, the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association, Microsoft and Google, held a seminar titled “IT Application in Garment and Textile Industry” in an attempt to raise the IT application scale in Vietnamese garment and textile firms, then, helping them to better compete in domestic and overseas markets.

 

The gathering was also an open forum for garment and textile enterprises to exchange benefits, roles and importance of IT applications in business after Vietnam joined the WTO as well as exchange information about opportunities and challenges of the garment and textile after Vietnam penetrated more deeply into the world economy. The event also reflects the actualities of IT applications of related enterprises. Apart from Intel, other organisers will also introduce supporting programmes for garment and textile companies to scale up their IT applications.
