Japan Day in HCM City

The Japan Day was recently held in Ho Chi Minh City by the Association for Propagation of Japanese Traditional Culture and the Japanese General Consul in Ho Chi Minh City, aiming at boosting cultural exchange and mutual understanding between Japan and Vietnam.

 

With the participation of 140 artists and artisans of 23 art troupes, who gave performance with Taiko drums, folk dances, Yosakoi dance, street song and dance performance, origami (Japanese paper folding art), calligraphy, tea ceremony, the event attracted much attention from local people and students.

 

During the event, students of local universities had opportunities to practise their Japanese, and get access to Japanese tea ceremony and calligraphy.
