Pay Net Launched
Vietnam’s first electronic payment network, PayNet, was officially launched in the country on April 3, 2007. The first product of PayNet is the distribution of charging codes for mobile phone users in Vietnam.
At the launching ceremony, PayNet signed strategic agreements on card and payment services with four banks of ABBank, Navibank, Techcombank and VP Bank. Besides, PayNet also reached cooperation agreements with VIB Bank, Military Bank and Maritime Bank.
With the business philosophy of “Simplifying payment,” PayNet has contributed to the expansion of non-cash electronic payment in Vietnam, said PayNet General Director Nguyen Chien Thang.
