Work Begins on US$312.5-Mln Entertainment Complex in Ha Tay
Tuan Chau Joint Stock Company February 25 started to build an entertainment complex worth VND5 trillion (US$312.5 million) in the northern Ha Tay province to better satisfy the local tourist demands, the local Thanh Nien reported.
The project, located in Quoc Oai District, will cover 254 hectares. It will comprise hotels, villas, international conference hall, golf course, trade center, other entertainment facilities, Tuan Chau General Director Edward Minh Chi said.
Lots of companies from the U.S. and Australia will join the construction, he added.
The complex will be put into operation by 2010.
Ha Tay owns advantages for tourism development as it is adjacent to the capital city of Hanoi and is home to many traditional handicraft villages. It also houses 22 landscapes, including Huong Pagoda, Dong Mo, Suoi Hai, Ba Vi and Huong Son.
The tourism development is now considered the province’s key economic sector, particularly eco-tourism area, which is targeted to account for 35 per cent of the province’s total number of visitors by 2010. (Young People)
