Vietnam to Attend Int'l Tourism Show in Germany in March

Vietnam Airlines and 27 tour operators and hoteliers will join the International Travel-Trade Show in Berlin (ITB) from March 5 to 9 to showcase their tourism potentials and 2008 top tourism events, state media has said.

Mekong Can Tho 2008 Tourism Festival, Hue Festival and the World Heritage Site of Ha Long Bay will be especially featured during the show, Do Tung Lam, director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT)’s Center for Tourism Consulting and Promotion, said.

The national tourism authority would also call on visitors to cast a vote for Ha Long Bay as one of the world’s new seven wonders of nature, Lam added.

Some 11,000 companies from 180 countries and territories will be exhibiting their products and services at the event, the show’s organizer said.

ITB is the world's largest travel trade show. It's the meeting place of travel experts, but also for consumers interested in new travel trends and ideas. Since 2007, the trade fair hosts a gay pavilion, which presents the latest travel trends for gay travelers. (VNA).
