First Foreign-invested Securities Firm Makes Debut

Asia's leading stock brokerage group Kim Eng has officially started providing services in by launching Kim Eng Vietnam Securities Company (KEVS) after one year it received permission from market authorities, state media reported.

 

With Kim Eng's holdings of 49 per cent capital, KEVS has become the first foreign-invested stock broker licensed to operate in

 

KEVS will provide brokerage, online transaction and securities analysis services. It will also supply services of investment bank and corporate finance to corporate clients.

 

As planned, KEVS will introduce new types of transaction via PDA and mobile phone.

 

Eighty foreign and domestic securities firms have so far got license for operations in . The competition has become fiercer as more and more firms are seeking for establishment. ( Economic Times)
