Malaysian Berjaya Leisure to Build US$930 Mln Financial Center in Vietnam

Ho Chi Minh City Mayor Le Hoang Quan late last week granted a license to Berjaya Leisure (Cayman) Limited, under the Malaysian Berjaya Land Bhd (B-land) to build Vietnam Financial Center (VFC) at an initial cost of US$930 million in District 10, state media said Monday.

 

 

Berjaya Leisure (Cayman) Limited will start the work on an area of 25.4 hectares, which will include three 48-storey high-class apartment blocks of five-star hotel, office for rent, and trade center, the local newspaper Laborer said.

 

 

The Malaysian firm will complete the work between 2010 and 2013 with the total investment of up to US$1.7 billion.

 

 

VFC is part of the group’s multi-million dollar projects in , Dato Seri Vincent Tan, the chairman of Berjaya Group said, noting the group has pledged to invest in the Southeast Asian country in the long-term with fastest growth rate in the region.
