Vietnam, Potential Retail Market for Thai Investors-Counselor
Vietnam is a potential retail market for Thai investors, and a Thai trade fair will be held in Hanoi April 23-27 to help Thai businesses opportunity to study Vietnam’s retail market, Thai Commercial Counselor Unchalee Asavanmetha said.
Unchalee Asavanmetha said that the annual event will attract 30 Thai businesses which will showcase consumer goods, including textile, electronics, food, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals and auto parts.
Vietnam and Thailand established the trade ties two decades ago and the two-way trade has seen a steady growth rate to reach US$5 billion last year. It is expected to double by 2010.
Up to date, Vietnam and Thailand have signed 30 bilateral agreements in trade, investment, culture, tourism and environment.
