Lang Co Listed among World’s Most Beautiful Bays

Lang Co Bay in central Thua Thien-Hue province is officially named among the most beautiful bays in the world, said General Secretary of Worldbays Club Bodard Bruno.

 

The ceremony to grant the title for the bay will take place at an international conference on the nicest bays in the world held on May 15 in Portugal.

 

Lang Co becomes the 30th member of the club. Vietnam already has two representatives in the club, Nha Trang Bay and Ha Long Bay.

 

The club general secretary also disclosed that the conference on the world’s top bays 2010 will be opened in Vietnam’s northern Quang Ninh province.

 

Lang Co Bay is famous for magnificent natural landscapes surrounded by mountains and boundless blue sea. It is some 35 kilometers from Danang International Airport and 60 kilometers from Phu Bai Airport.

 

Ha Long Bay recently was rated the second world natural wonder.

 

Vietnam has five natural and cultural world heritage sites recognized by UNESCO, including the complex of Hue monuments, Hoi An ancient town, the My Son sanctuary, Ha Long bay, and the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park. It also boasts other world intangible heritages, namely the Tay Nguyen gong culture in addition to Hue royal music. (Young People)
