Vietnam Exports US$2.23B PCs, Electronics, Spare Parts in Jan-Oct

Vietnam is estimated to have exported US$2.23 billion worth computers, electronics and spare parts in the first ten months of 2009, up 0.1% from a year earlier, the General Statistics Office said.
 
In October, the country’s combined export value of these products is estimated at US$280 million, up 3.7% on month.
 
During the ten months period, Vietnam has spent US$3.086 billion on importing computers, electronics and spare parts, down 0.3% on year, the GSO forecast.
 
Vietnam is projected to reap US$3 billion from exporting these products this year from US$2.7 billion in 2008, according to Secretary General of the Vietnam Electronic Industries Association Tran Quang Hung. (Investment, GSO Oct 2009)
