Vietnam Woodwork Exporters Target New Markets: VIFORES
Vietnamese woodwork companies are seeking to ship their products to new markets such as Bulgaria, Czech, Germany and others.
Nguyen Ton Quyen, vice chairman of the Vietnam Wood and Forest products Association (Vifores) was quoted as saying that this month many companies have boosted processing for already-signed contracts in 2010 from the abovementioned countries.
Quyen said that in the first eleven months of 2009, Vietnam woodwork export to EU decreased 30% and to the U.S. decreased 10% from a year earlier.
In Jan-Nov 2009, Vietnam exported US$2.6 billion worth of woodworks, down US$200 million against the same period of last year. (Investment)
