17 Japan Travel Agents Seek Opportunities in Central Vietnam

A mission of 17 Japanese travel agents visited Vietnam’s central city of Danang on Mar 18 to seek partners and investment opportunities.
 
During the trip, the agents surveyed Danang Golf Course, Hoang Dat Casino and Ba Na Tourist Site, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) said on March 22.
 
The Japanese firms also held talks local partners to discuss cooperation, it added.
 
In the first two months of 2010, 12 international cruise ships docked at Danang’s Tien Sa Port, bringing 6,477 tourists, mainly British, the U.S., French, Dutch, Canadian and Australian to Quang Nam and Hue.
 
Danang is attracting both local and foreign tourists to the International Firework Competition 2010 which it will host from Mar 27-28. The competition is expected to welcome 70,000 tourist arrivals.
 
The city aims to greet 1.45 million tourists and earn tourism revenues of VND1.01 trillion (US$54.7 million) in 2010. (vietnamtourism.vn)
