With profoundly accumulated experience, talented workforce and modern equipment system, after more than 21 years of operations, TV.PHARM Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company continuously introduces highly effective pharmaceuticals to enhance people's health and living quality.
TV.PHARM, formerly known as Tra Vinh Pharmaceutical and Medical Supplies Company, was set up in 1992 with only 20 employees. In the early days, the company lacked specialised personnel, working capital (with start-up capital of VND2.5 billion) and technical facilities. However, with the ongoing efforts of the entire staff in the past 21 years, TV.PHARM has made breakthrough achievements. At present, TV.PHARM has VND100 billion in registered capital and 567 employees. In 2012, the company fetched VND405 billion of revenue, surpassing the target of VND365 billion plan and made a profit of VND56 billion, compared with the plan of VND31.5 billion. Employee was paid VND6.787 million a month on average. The company invested to build a Non-beta Lactam pharmaceutical plant with an annual capacity of 960 million tablets and 50 million packets, a Beta - Lactam antibiotics production plant, meeting GMP - WHO standards and using advanced equipment and technology from Europe, the US and South Korea, with a yearly capacity of 500 million tablets, 10 million bottles and 50 million packets.
All TV.PHARM pharmaceutical factories meet WHO-GMP, GLP and GSP standards certified by the Vietnam Drug Administration in early 2007. The quality management system meets ISO 9001:2008 international standards, certified by Bureau Veritas Quality International (BVQI) of the United Kingdom. With well-established quality, TV.PHARM products have increasingly occupied domestic and foreign markets. Currently, the company has over 200 pharmaceutical products certified for circulation by the Vietnam Drug Administration under the Ministry of Health. Its typical products include Cephalosporin antibiotics in powder, injectible fluid, tablet and packet forms, antipyretics medicines, cardiovascular medicines, respiratory, digestive, diabetes medicines, vitamins and minerals.
According to experts, TV.PHARM is one of few brands able to set itself apart by using its own peculiar advantages. Prominent features of TV.PHARM are not only based on differences in physical properties and product quality, but also on the closeness to physical health of Vietnamese people. Currently, TV.PHARM’s distribution network basically covers the country through its nine distribution branches in Hanoi, Danang, Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, An Giang, Can Tho, Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa and Tra Vinh, as well as and nearly 10,000 drugstores. The company has played an important role in boosting the healthy development of the medicine market and limiting counterfeit or inferior goods that cause bad effect on human health. Not only holding a large market share, TV.PHARM is confident to export its products to foreign markets like ASEAN and Africa. Currently, the firm has signed two export contracts with partners in Cambodia and Nigeria. In 2012, its export value was worth more than US$85,000.
In recognition of its positive contributions to the development of Vietnam's pharmaceutical industry and to the socioeconomic development of Tra Vinh province, TV.PHARM was honoured with many wards and titles by the Government, central departments and the provincial government such as First, Second and Third-grade Labour Orders by the State President, the “Labour Hero in the Renovation Period from 1995 to 2004" by the State President, “outstanding business of the year” certificates by the Tra Vinh province in 2000, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012. The company’s products were voted “Vietnam High Quality Products” by Vietnamese consumers for years.
Speaking of future development orientations, General Director Nguyen Dang Nguyen said TV.PHARM will continue to invest in new technological equipment, improve and maintain WHO-GMP and ISO 9001 quality management systems, raise product quality, develop new high quality products, operate functional food plants and expand Non-beta - Lactam plants.
Besides, to create a young capable workforce, the company will send its staff to advanced training programmes and organise in-house training programmes for its employees. Regarding market development, in 2014, TV.PHARM will open more branches in Nghe An province, in order to expand its nationwide distribution network.
