VCCI Holds Second Conference of East-West Economic Corridor

On March 26-28, 2006, in New World Hotel, Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) held the Conference of “East-West Economic Corridor – EWEC” in the framework of activities of the APEC summit meeting by the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC).

120 representatives from Vietnam Department of Foreign Trade – Ministry of Trade, Department of Trade of Japan and other regional countries, organisation concerning the Mekong Sub-region Development Project, institutes, universities and enterprises, etc. attended the conference.

Speeches read at this forum focused on assessment of realistic situation of socio-economic activities and analysis of growth index of the economies of Vietnam and EWEC countries. '
