The 8th Norfolk Golf Scoops
The 8th Norfolk Invitational Golf Tournament saw 133 golfers playing in three divisions at Vietnam Golf & Country Club – West Course with shotgun start and stroke-play tournament at 12:00 pm on 15th April 2006.
Again this year, golfers missed out on the ‘Hole in One’ scoops of a Mercedes C280 Avantgarde sponsored by Kinh Do Food Corporation. Also, no one won at the charity ‘Gimme Hole’ prize at Hole No. 12 sponsored by Norfolk Group.
At the award and dinner ceremony at Norfolk Mansion, 2nd floor Terrazzo Restaurant terrace, first place getters were Mr. Le Van Kiemreceived the Division A Net trophy; Mr. Nguyen Tu Nguyen received Division B Net trophy and Division C went to Mr. Gyu Ho Jin. Mr. Jin also won the special lucky draw prize worth of a HCMC – Sydney – HCMC business class return ticket sponsored by Vietnam Airlines.
Other prizes were for Best Gross, Most Accurate and Nearest to the pin at Par 3’s.
Major lucky draw prizes included package voucher of 5 days 4 nights in Malaysia sponsored by Tourism Malaysia, 1 business class return ticket (HCMC – Bali - HCMC) sponsored by Garuda Indonesia, electrical appliances from Crown Beverage.
