S. Korea Launches First Tourism Promotion Campaign in Vietnam

The South Korean Tourism Organization (KTO) and South Korean Embassy in Vietnam jointly held its first tourism promotion program today (August 24) in the capital city of Hanoi, with the aim to further boost bilateral tourism and friendship relations between the two countries.
 
Started with the “South Korean Tourism Fair”, the campaign will be a breakthrough, opening more business opportunities for tourism operators and associations of the two nations.
 
Series of activities to exchange tourism experiences and seminars to discuss attractive tourist destinations will also be launched.
 
High-ranking officials of the two sides will attend the event.
 
Over the past years, the tourism cooperation between Vietnam and South Korea has been further developed, Vo Thi Thang, chief of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) said, revealing that the number of tourists from the Northeastern Asian country to Vietnam has increased rapidly year by year.
 
South Korea kept its third position among countries having most vacationers to the communist country in the first seven months of this year with more than 236,500, posting a rise 32 per cent on year.
