Many Cultural Programmes during APEC Meetings

The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism said many cultural events have been opened during the APEC meetings in September.

 

On September 5, 2006, the Legendary Hoi An Night was opened in Hoi An Town, attracting more than 200 delegates.

 

Four days later, the Nguyen Hien Dinh Traditional Opera House hosted the four-night performance of traditional music and songs.

 

In addition, the delegates visited places of interest in Hue, Ho An and Danang.

 

Other cultural events will be opened in the following days. Noteworthy is the “Hoi An - Cultural Colour” Programme will take place in Hoi An in the evening of September 15, 2006. This is a special programme for APEC delegates attending SOM 3 meeting. Notably, the Organising Committee will organise the “Talent Night” Contest in the evening of September 16, 2006. Cultural events on the fringe of APEC meetings have become traditional and representatives of APEC economies present art and cultural performances.
