Greater Mekong Sub-region Business Forum to Opens Late November
Greater Mekong Sub-region Business Forum (GMS-BF) Secretariat in collaboration with Thai Chamber of Commerce and other five GMS National Chambers of Commerce and Industry are organizing the GMS Business Forum conferences on November 28, 2006, at Arnoma Hotel, Bangkok.
The conference will provide a platform for a dynamic exchange of best practice options and permit participants –SHOULD THEY CHOOSE – to brainstorm and exchange views about concrete proposals to encourage closer similarity in GMS Accounting Systems and Reporting Methods.
Strong emphasis in the Accounting Conference will be placed on Accounting Practices in GMS countries and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Treatment of Goodwill Costs, Convergence of IFRS and US GAAP, Accounting Standards implication and Pension plan future payouts, Implications for a company’s net financial position.
This GMS-BF conference is supported by private sector sponsors as well as the Asian Development Bank (ADB), and United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asian and the Pacific (UNESCAP).
Chamber of Commerce and Industries of GMS Countries include YPCC, CCC, LNCC, TCC, UMCCI, and VCCI.
