Vietnam-Slovakia Business Forum took place in Hanoi on October 17 with the participation of Slovak President Ivan Gasparovic and over 100 Vietnamese and Slovak businesses.

Bilateral ties have obtained encouraging results for the recent years, but are yet to meet the potential and strength of both nations, he added.

To enhance these ties, the two sides should further boost mutual understanding, which will require greater efforts from the two governments, he noted.

Vietnam and Slovakia inked two cooperative pacts on trade pact and visa-exemption agreement in an attempt to boost trade and economic relations on October 16. The two countries would also sign a number of contracts in the fields of food and foodstuff in the coming period.
